Senior FX Analyst
Location: North-East

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for monitoring and providing regular independent research notes and reports on G7 and regional currencies, as well as undertaking some in-depth FX research projects. This role will be more focused on Asian regional currencies. You are also required to make regular in-house presentations to Global Markets staff. In addition, you will be expected to hold regular regional client meetings/presentations for the purpose of understanding and helping the clients’ in their business and currency needs. As part of the FX research team, you will be required to provide in-depth insights on issues related to currencies movements and to profile Maybank’s name to the investment community, media and the public at large. Requirements:
Good Degree in Economics, Finance, or its equivalent. A postgraduate degree would be viewed favourably.
Candidates with relevant work experience (at least 4 yrs) and/or econometric & technical analysis skills would have an advantage. Experience in regional economies/currencies will be beneficial.
Self-motivated, analytical and able to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
Team-player.
Ability to conduct independent research and contribute to the team’s efforts is essential.
