Risk Manager
Location: Central
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible to assist the Service Delivery Manager directly to oversee the day-to-day credit risk functions.
This role will be supported by a team of credit management analysts lead by the Senior Credit Analyst who will ensure that the risk management work comply and adhere to Worldwide Credit Services (WWCS) process and procedures.
SPOC for assigned processes
Responsible for the credit performance, reviewing credit metrics and reports in order to drive day to day activities
Responsible for the preparation of managements reports in line with Client and arvato's requirements
Research and apply market trends as well as industry, partner and country information and make recommendations for security when necessary. Carry out programs for minimizing risk through analysis and secured transactions
Performing credit evaluations and other support analyses for credit policy formation
Establishing, implementing and managing credit lines for partners/customers against estimated sales volume projections provided by Sales/Business
Obtain risk reports from the system; prepare summary reporting as needed to enable comprehensive reporting & analysis by management of all market and credit risk exposures and limits
Integrate industry information, economic factors, developments and credit trends into developing appropriate credit risk-scoring models using traditional and other advanced predictive technologies
Establish portfolio concentration risk criteria and corresponding customer and partner risk acceptance criteria Manage portfolio quality and collections activity to ensure losses are predictable and within acceptable levels
Monitor with required focus the different credit risk buckets and specifically those partners/customers rated as high risk. Work with the LCA (legal) department where appropriate and in cases of liquidations and bankruptcy
Provide reports of daily, weekly, monthly, etc, Credit Risk activity for internal and external use
Conduct studies of partner/customer groups and product types and develop computer-based models for projections (delinquency, credit limit requirements, setting and monitoring etc)
Create mechanisms and metrics to identify, address and remedy the most prevalent risk issues affecting AR performance
Resolving risk related issues in conjunction with our internal and external business partners
Confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information
Educates and trains the leadership, staff and business associates as to the risk management program, and their respective responsibilities in carrying out the risk management program
Develop, document and implement effective Credit Risk strategies, policies, practices and procedures to support regional and global consistent risk management
Requirements:
Degree holder in Accounting / Finance / Commerce. Non-degree holders with substantial experience in Credit & Collections with right attitude will also be considered
Minimum 5 years of experience in collection management. Regional experience with MNC would be an added advantage
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability and confidence to operate at senior levels within Client and Arvato organizations
Strong working knowledge of Credit and Risk management practices
Good understanding of and experience in applying credit risk scoring methodology
Good understanding and experience with Credit Modeling, Credit ratings and risk management tools
Experience in managing credit risk portfolios
Regional or international experience/exposure preferred
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and professionally in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment, as well as working independently to meet goals and deadlines will be highly desirable
Demonstrate competence with MS Outlook and MS Excel
Experience with SAP will be an added advantage
Proven ability to work within tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
Flexible with working hours during specified key periods
A team player
Fluency in English/Chinese (both written and spoken) is a pre-requisite for this job
