Job Description:
Accounts Team Head-Banking
Salary: SGD 5500 - 5800
Location: Central
Responsibilities:
Supervise the preparation and review of MAS reporting, Statutory reporting, Head Office Reporting, Management reporting and any other relevant financial reports
Responsible for the expense payments and day to day accounting entries
To implement changes arising from regulatory and internal policy changes and update relevant procedures and work processes on a timely basis
Manage and ensure that all periodical reports to management, HO and MAS are promptly and accurately done and submitted
To liaise with external auditors and regulators regarding reporting, audit and taxation matters
Responsible for the continuous process of improvement and changes in accounting issues
Perform projection and analysis to ensure that ratios and limits are controlled within stipulated requirements
Perform variance analysis and extraction of information required by regulators, Head Office and any other authority
Requirements:
Possess excellent knowledge and strong hands-on experience in MAS reporting
5 years of post-qualification experience in a banking environment preferably in an offshore/wholesale bank
Full sets of accounting experience required
Familiar with FRS (Financial Reporting Standard) is essential
Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Conversant with working experience in COGNOS system
Possess excellent analytical skills and able to work well under pressure
Strong understanding of Financial Instruments will be preferred
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all staff-level as well as the local senior management and Head Office
